Restoring Our Balance in Life

“Instead we had decided to go out and venture into seeing lonely people, giving of our time and company.  Others worked in Kitchens around the country cooking Christmas dinner for those less well off than ourselves.

“Many of us also wanted to be alone in quiet contemplation away from the Christmas razzmatazz and all the noise that goes with it.  Many this year just wanted to do something different and to put our own wishes first in whatever capacity or form that may have taken.

“In its own way, it has definitely brought over its own joy and achievement.  People more and more are putting the Christmas commercial side behind them and concentrating on the bigger picture, as to what feels right for them instead of being drawn into the mayhem of it all.

“This yearning for change, to do something different from year in and year out is a good positive move.  It shows that we can be individuals if we so choose to be and do what feels right in our hearts and minds.

“This feeling of being individualistic and no more one sheep in a crowd of sheep will remain forever now embedded in our own hearts.  The feeling sets us on the path of true enlightenment starting with the needs for ourselves first and then venturing out to help others outside our immediate family next.

“People removing themselves from the vast pull of commercialism and into the mode of life to help others and to restrict themselves from the falsehood of Christmas.  Souls now feel the need for a simpler less chaotic environment, where peace and harmony without the stress that appears to be forced on so many.

“You will notice this feeling for a simpler but more fruitful life continuing over the New Year and beyond.  Sanity is being restored and high time too.  By taking this step back from the chaos and fraught life so many of us lead, restores the balance in life and we can all learn to breathe deeply again.

“We all know it makes sense.  Now see that change of heart and where we are motivated to come off that treadmill of commercialised life and into a simpler and stress-free environment.

“It will certainly make us healthier and happier.  Peace in our minds is a valuable thing and should never be underestimated!”
